Reverend Gary W. Sears, Senior Pastor, Mt. Olive Church of God, Cleveland, TN

Mt. Olive Church of God, under the leadership of Pastor Gary W. Sears, has been recognized as one of the fastest growing churches in the denomination. Through Pastor Sears, the vision of Mt. Olive has expanded to reach not only the community and surrounding area but literally around the world.

Pastor Sears attended Lee College, earning a BA in Biblical Education and later earned a MA in Biblical Studies and Christian Education at the School of Theology in Cleveland.  He previously served as State Youth and CE Director for North and South Dakota and has spoken at state youth camps throughout the region.  Sears has been a guest lecturer for Lee University and Northwest Bible College, and is frequently called on to speak at church growth seminars. Sears also held the office of Church of God Youth Ministries/Mission Coordinator at the Church of God International Offices in Cleveland, TN.  He presently serves on the Tennessee State Council for the Church of God.

Pastor Sears is actively involved in the community and is a member of the Rotary International.  He has served as Chaplain of the Day for the State of Tennessee House of Representatives on numerous occasions. He also serves as Chaplain for the Cleveland Police Department and Bradley Memorial Hospital.

He is married to Charletta D. Sears. The couple has two grown children, a son, James Sears, who is married to Shannon Lewis Sears and they have two sons, six year old Tucker and six month old Carson. Their daughter, Sharvetta Sears Bess, is the wife of Ken Bess and they have one son, one year old Preston Edward.

 

 

Reverend Jerry Noble

Jerry Noble is a successful pastor, evangelist, administrator, author and song writer with a broad and rich background of experience in ministry.

Pastor Jerry Noble served the Church of God in Cleveland, TN as an associate director for radio and television for ten years and was heard regularly on some 500 radio stations through the Forward in Faith radio broadcast. He was instrumental in assisting international evangelist Carl Richardson in launching a nationwide television ministry, Power Unlimited.

He served as Director of Marketing for Pathway Press Publishing for five years. He has pastured some strong church congregations, and has conducted numerous evangelistic crusades in various countries around the world.

Pastor Noble has produced and recorded several inspirational/motivational products, as well as gospel albums, and has authored several books and manuals. He has served the past nine years as administrator for the Mt. Olive Ministries which has a congregation of some 1,100 people.

He now serves as a consultant for various ministries, produces church television programming and videos, and continues to write from his home in Cleveland, Tennessee where he resides with his wife Paula, they have three children.

 

 

Reverend Winston R. Reid

Winston R. Reid was born in the Parish of Manchester, Jamaica West Indies, to the late Leonora and Rev. Hubert Reid.

Rev. Reid attended Funks Academy High School, a private school owned and operated by the United Brethren Church organization. There he was a versatile athlete who excelled in track and field, soccer and cricket. After high school he became an apprentice and later a journeyman electrician with Summers Electric prior to his migrating to the United States in 1967.  In 1969 he married the former Ms. Vernetta Williams, they have three children.  He was ordained as Bishop in 1985. His pastorates include two years in East Moline, Illinois, three years in Markham, Illinois, and eight years in Roscoe Street where he experienced his first cross-cultural ministry.  He was pastor in Buffalo, New York for three years, where he served as District Overseer for Western New York, before coming to the Wildwood Church where he has been for twelve years.

Bishop Reid is a graduate of the Church of God of Prophecy BTI (a minister training program). He has earned his Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministries and Church Administration from the Church of God Theological Seminary.

Additionally, Bishop Reid serves as a member of the White Wing Publication board, he is a guest writer for the Church of God of Prophecy Sunday School Victory series Teacher’s Manual, serves as Chairman of the Tennessee Church of God of Prophecy Ministerial Review Board and TCBL Instructor, teaches Bible studies at the Cleveland Housing Authority, he is Vice Chairman of the Bradley Initiative for Church and Community and is Chairman of the Festival of Cultures Contact Committee, he currently serves as an Assistant Chaplain with the Cleveland Police Department.
